2002 award ceremony

The evening celebrated creativity of many kinds. Prizes were presented to the winners of a children’s painting competition which produced a wealth of interpretations of the winning stories. Highlights included some exciting performance poetry in praise of African writing and a lively, thought-provoking dramatisation of Osman Conteh's Unanswered Cries.
